THE POWER OF TRANSFORMATIONAL PRAYER

A few months ago the pastor at my church showed a DVD of a talk given by Pastor Jackson Senyonga on the transformation of Uganda. This transformation wasn't acomplished by military might, by guns or bombs. It was accomplished through transformational prayer.

Now transformational prayer differs from normal prayer in that it asks only that the will of God be done regardless of our expectations. It trusts completely that God can do anything and that he will fulfill all the promises that he has made to us through his Word.

As part of his talk Pastor Senyonga challenged the Christians in the United States to pray such a prayer. To risk everything, our comfort, our luxuries, our supposed peace of mind, for the very best that God has for us.
